WOOD TURNS - Wood Platters to wood bangles
A vase made with segmented teak and poplar. It is made up of 84 pieces of poplar (sometimes called tulip wood) and 24 thin pieces of teak, the top and base are one piece of teak.
The segmenting process consists of cutting all the pieces at 15 degrees and glueing together into the vase shape. I then turn it on my lathe.
The vase is 20 cm high and 18 cm diameter at its widest point and finished with beeswax polish.
